the hotel was super comfy and warm, like a cozy little hideaway. the food in the restaurant was really good and had options for everyone. also, it’s just a short walk to the train station and the town, yet it felt peaceful at night. i stayed just before christmas, and it was nice to see locals coming in for meals too! definitely a place i’d recommend.

the shower was kinda small and could’ve been better. also, i think the water charge was a bit silly considering i didn’t even ask for it.

close to elgin's parks and historical landmarks for easy exploring

During my stay, I appreciated how close I was to Cooper Park, just a pleasant 15-minute stroll away, and the stunning Elgin Cathedral, which was only about 1.5 kilometers from my room, making my city walks truly enjoyable.

All fine, but poor water pressure

We had an amazing stay with the family, and our dog enjoyed it too! The staff really made our time special, especially Dan, who was a hit with our kids. The nearby town had great dining options and the hotel atmosphere was friendly.

My kids wished there were more kid-friendly entertainment options at the hotel.

My recent visit was delightful! The staff were accommodating and genuinely friendly, ensuring my 3-night stay was comfortable. I particularly loved the cozy double room with its clean linens and the relaxing atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, where the meals were freshly prepared and delicious. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to diversify the breakfast options a bit more.

Comfortable Stay with Great Potential

I enjoyed my stay in the annex with its modern amenities, though I wished to explore the historic main building. The friendly staff were accommodating, especially during breakfast, where I tried haggis for the first time! A delightful surprise near the center of Elgin with plenty to explore.

We loved our stay with wonderful vegetarian options and a comfortable economy double room. Plus, the cocktails were superb and made it a special evening! Definitely returning!
